What this preview stores, what it sends, and what stays under your control.

Application details and documents

This preview stores saved application details in the configured local database and uploaded files in its local file store. Temporary browser session state helps restore unfinished edits.

Use sample information and documents while testing this preview. Uploaded documents are not sent to an OCR service; extraction currently uses fixed sample values.

County suggestions

When a complete U.S. business address needs a county, GetEIN sends its street, city, state and ZIP to the U.S. Census Bureau to find suggestions. This lookup does not include your name, application identifier or uploaded documents.

You choose whether to use a suggestion, select a county from the local directory or enter your own answer. A confirmed Census suggestion is saved with its matched address, data version and confirmation time.

Account details

The preview uses passwordless email sign-in. GetEIN stores an account association and the accepted terms version separately from your application facts.

Neon Auth handles the one-time code used to sign in. No password or separate account-creation form is required.

Reviewing and correcting information

You can edit your application details and manage its uploaded formation document in the application flow. Removing a source file does not erase the company facts you have already confirmed.

No application is sent to the IRS by this preview.
